i have finally found a word describing a fear that i have had all my life. here are a few facts:

1. EMETOPHOBIA is an excessive or irrational fear of vomiting or of being around other who are vomiting.

2. It is one of the most common specific phobias.

3. On average, it is suggested that most emetophobics have been sick five or fewer times in their lives. (i've thrown up twice.)

4. Emetophobics are known to go to great lengths to avoid people who may be sick or where a threat of infection is perceived.

5. Nearly all Emetophobics will practice eating habits that may seem strange if noticed by non-Emetophobics, ranging from pickiness to superstitions about foods to anorexia.

6. Emetophobics can suffer from pervasive anxiety and/or depression.

...at least i'm not the only one!!!!!

so i got a phone call yesterday from dr holz. honestly, i'm used to his calls now. they don't evoke the "oh no, what did i do in songsters now?" reaction that they used to. now they just usually make me laugh.

but this one kinda jolted me a bit. he asked me if i wanted to come work for him a bit in the music dept this summer. after i picked myself up off the floor, i asked him if he had totally thought this proposition through: it would mean that he would see me for 8 hours every day that i'm there. i wasn't sure if he was prepared for that. he said he was okay and that he was even working on getting me paid for this. (WOAH!!!!)

so as of this afternoon, i am living up to the destiny i never knew i had. (being married to robert not only entered me into the snelson family, but the holz/music dept clan as well!!!) tomorrow morning i will go to thq with robert and begin working with evelyn to prepare for tmi. we'll see if dr holz can really handle it!

(and i'm sure this has nothing to do with the fact that my husband works there....)

so we made it back from camp alright. it was a good week being at KT's conservatory. the kids were pretty good. it was fun. the only thing i didnt like was the roadsright outside of camp. i have never been car sick before...until yesterday. the roads coming in made me feel not great but i was able to get out of the car cause we were at camp. leaving camp, however, made me sick. we had to stop in chattanooga for an hour to settle my stomach and then got some dramamine. i've never taken that before....i think it did just enough to allow me to sleep the last 2 hours of the trip. anyway, i'm feeling better today - just scared to eat. happy day.

anyway...john, trish, and jonah are here so that is exciting. my in-laws are on there way here now, too. so this week we'll have a full house. WOO HOOOO!!!

we got a new car tonight....a 2005 jeep liberty with 20,000 miles on it! WOOHOOOOOO!!! here it is....

so i had a day with my mom today. yesterday was, let's just say, tough. and for the record, i no longer believe medical doctors. (other than you, bethany. you now have the distinct honor of being my main resident medical guru.) so in response to the awfulness that was yesterday, mom and i decided to take it easy with each other. so we went to wired & fired and did some pieces for jennifer to give her as a wedding gift...seeing as we didn't go down for her wedding.

This is mom's pottery. The big one is an oval platter and the small one is a wine rack: you put the whole thing on top of a wine bottle then 2 glasses hang from either side.

This one is (dont' freak out) the dog we are dogsitting. Our neighbors went to Texas and asked if we could get their mail and watch their puppy. I'm loving life...Robert, on the other hand.....but she's so cute!! Scared to death, but cute!

as far as the birds go, let's just suffice it to say that birds are not my thing.

...okay, so the birds are going back....

so today i got 2 parakeets: samson and delilah. obviously one is male and the other is female. i'm excited!!! they are mostly green (my favorite color!!) and really pretty! my mom has my camera, otherwise i'd post pictures. once i get it back, i'll post pictures for everyone to see!!!!!
