so i have just crossed over that bridge between human kind and band geek: i have just, for the first time ever...

- totally disassembled my horn
- bathed it in a lukewarm bath with dish detergent
- polished it with silver polish (while my husband played "quicksilver" in the background to practice - kinda funny!)
- reassembled and greased the tuning slides
- oiled the valves
- and then wiped it all with a clean cloth.

...i have crossed over to the dark side.
